CONTEXT
WHAT IS ERASMUS+ BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAMME (BIP)
Blended intensive programmes build capacity for developing and implementing innovative teaching and learning practices in higher education. Groups of higher education institutions can organise short blended intensive programmes of learning, teaching and training for students and staff.
It is a new format in the Erasmus+ programme aiming at more flexible and more intensive cooperation which combines a short-term physical mobility abroad with a virtual part facilitating collaborative online learning exchange and teamwork.
Using it as the format of our 2022 international staff week creates a unique opportunity to provide you – our international colleagues – with a hands-on experience of participation in such a programme on the one hand, and to join us in looking into BIP’s potential for enhancing students’ mobility and learn from the experience of the invited experts and lecturers on the other.
For more information on the BIP format, see: Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme.
For our programme, see: 2022 BIP International Staff Training Programme.
WHO ARE THE ORGANISERS?

We are a consortium of 3 institutions, which was established with the aim of organising Blended Intensive Programmes. The members of this consortium are:
Pamukkale University, Turkey
University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden, Germany
University of Pardubice, Czech Republic
In 2022, the coordinating institution organising the International Staff Training within the Blended Intensive Programme is the University of Pardubice.
WHY ARE WE ORGANISING INTERNATIONAL STAFF TRAINING 2022?
The main idea of our International Staff Training is to bring participants from various educational contexts together and enable them to gain useful insights into new ways of organising mobility programmes at universities across Europe. We will discuss the potential of blended learning and share best practices in the area of internationalisation. The planned outcomes are the utilisation of BIP formats towards establishing new efficient partnerships, as well as identifying tools for enhancing future student mobilities.
WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED?
Both academic staff and International Office staff involved in intercultural training, language teaching, international mobility, and student support.
The condition for participation is a valid ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education) number for your institution.
FINANCIAL ASPECTS:
The University of Pardubice covers the costs associated with the programme. Travel and accommodation expenses are not reimbursed. Participants are expected and advised to use their Erasmus grant for staff training mobility.
