Specific language teaching and learning at the Language Centre of the University of Pardubice is also supported by means of two eLearning platforms. LMS Moodle and ePortfolio tool Mahara. LMS Moodle functions primarily as a course management system while Mahara provides social software tool that encourages peer supported learning and assessment.
LMS Moodle platform allows its users to learn specific content and at the same time supports cooperative learning and constructivist learning theory. Mahara learning environment allows its users to build their electronic language portfolio and collaborate with other users in groups on both national and international level.
